Day One:
Don't just dream of the one that got away...
Fishing at Lake Taupo is a dream come true!
Arrive to a glass of award winning wine to help you unwind within the peace and
serenity that surrounds you. Relax in your spacious King size suite overlooking
the lake and lodge gardens where everything has been created for your comfort.
Stunning views of Taupo surround you in this piece of paradise. Relax in front of
heartening log fires in the winter or take a stroll around the foreshore of one of
the most beautiful lakes in the world. The evening begins with complimentary
canapes and pre dinner drinks and a complimentary fly tying lesson with your
fishing guide. This will hopefully be the lucky fly for tomorrow's fishing.
Our five star Chef will amaze you with his culinary masterpieces based on fish,
game and seasonal delights.
Day Two:
Enjoy an early morning start with a full chef prepared breakfast (try our free range
eggs) before venturing out into one of the regional rivers for world class fly fishing.
The rivers of the Central North Island offer unlimited opportunities for the keen
angler, whether you drive, raft, or fly for the wily Browns of the Mohaka River, or
the fighting rainbows of the Tongariro River and Tauranga Taupo River. Your
guide will pick you up from Lake Taupo Lodge 7.00am-7.30am and return you back
between 5.00pm-5.30pm. Enjoy your freshly prepared catch (fingers crossed
your new fly catches you the big one) during pre dinner drinks before enjoying
another sumptuous four course dinner. After swapping fish stories of the day with
the other guests in the lodge, relax and retire to your Executive Suite.
Day Three:
Another fabulous breakfast will await you again this morning before the journey
to your next New Zealand destination.
