Child Policy:
Lake Taupo Lodge is designed to be an executive retreat for adults, but we recognise it is also an ideal spot for families, with its range of leisure and fishing activities. Particularly during the busiest season from 24 December to 15 March, we prefer not to accept children under five, unless the children are accompanied by a caregiver, nanny or babysitter.
We can offer separate dining for a family, ensuring peace and quiet for other adult guests. The pre-dinner drinks area is for adults only, but we can provide unsupervised children's entertainment during this time in the library if required.
On this basis, children will be accepted with adults at the following rates:
- An infant in a cot (under two years old) in its parents' room will be free of charge.
- A child under 12 in its parents' room will be charged NZ$250.00 plus tax per night
- Share twin rate. This option is only available in the Executive suites.
- Children in their own room, of any age, will be charged the appropriate adult tariff (share twin or single).
Christmas/New Years Eve policy:
On the night of 25th December and New Year's Eve there is a surcharge of NZ$150.00 + tax per person to cover pre-dinner champagne, entertainment and penal rates.
We also have a two night minimum stay for the period of the 23rd of December through to the 5th of January.
Please note our Cancellation Policy
50% charged if cancellation is within 30 days of arrival
100% charged if cancellation is within 7 days of arrival
100% charge will occur if guests are a "No-Show"
We also have a two night minimum stay for the period of the 23rd of December through to
the 5th of January.
However, if we are able to fill the room/s for any of the nights previously booked, we will only debit the guest for the balance of un-booked accommodation. If all nights previously booked are re-let, no charges will be made. We strongly recommend that you make adequate travel insurance.
Travel Insurance suggestions:
We suggest you have a full, comprehensive insurance policy covering medical, lost or stolen personal effects, baggage, air flight and hotel cancellation fees. |
